Check Out Our Moves

Anders and Jorja enjoy a variety of activities -- tae kwon do often reigns supreme. Regardless of where we are or what our intended purpose might be, they often ask us to "check out my/our moves."

Let the moves begin.

The Girls

While I continue to recover from my recent ACL surgery, one of the girls has taken it upon herself to engage in a little neighborhood exploration. Hence the following note tucked in our front door.

Thanks Ms. E.B.

Cooling-Off

While I sat idly by -- three days post-surgery -- the kiddos ran around with hoses. Their time was split between spraying each other and careening down the slide while Meg sprayed them mid-run.

Soaking wet.

Anders and Anakin

Our little guy is obsessed with Star Wars. Anakin Skywalker frequently "protects" Anders -- in the bathroom, in the car, down the slide, etc. -- despite his lack of height.

A direct height comparison.

Slip n' Slide

With the abundance of sunshine, we decided to engage in water play. Whoohoo!

Meg takes a shot at it -- while the kiddos stand by eagerly waiting for their turns.

Jordan builds momentum with a sprint to the slide.

Jorja giving Anders a boost.

I wasn't able to fling myself down the run due to my recent ACL tear. Ugh -- surgery on 09/07.

Eastward

Our recent travels to New England involved a lot of firsts for the kiddos -- flying on an airplane, watching random cartoons (ugh!) on never-before-seen television stations compliments of JetBlue, swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, cruising through the various harbors on a chartered boat, riding scooters, navigating a slip n' slide, boating in the Swan Boats (Make Way For Ducklings!), discovering french fries, playing carnival games (darts, anyone?) at a street fair, and -- of course -- meeting family and friends. All of this was followed by 1) a relaxing few days for me and Meg at a lake-side cabin in Maine and 2) an adventurous handful of days for the kiddos hangin' with Gailyn and her family.

JetBlue here we come.

An unexpected discovery -- amazing food -- on the way to Maine. Our return visit on the way out of Maine feel short with locked doors and a revealing hours of operation sign. Despite its closure, Meg and Claire lingered...
