Summer Trips (+ Spring Break)

For the third consecutive summer, we made the 3+ hour drive to a favorite spot on the Washington Coast. There is just so much space -- on the sand, in the ocean, and along the wooded trails -- that all six of us can let loose on our own terms.  Our awesome friends joined us this year -- adding to the energy and excitement of getting away from it all.

As soon as we arrived, all four kiddos were helmeted and ready to pedal.

On to the sand and beach.

Visiting a Star Wars shop + mural on the way home.

We also made our way east to the Methow Valley for a bit of exploration.

Local beer and food.

Touring the North Cascades Smokejumpers Base.

Relaxing in the hot tub on the deck of our cabin overlooking the  Chewuch River.

Feeding trout at the Winthrop National Fish Hatchery.

Back in April, we headed to Lake Chelan with friends and family.

One of many potty stops on the drive.

An apple orchard tractor ride -- complete with apple cider and donuts.

Activities around the house.

An interesting stop on the way home.
